Component Training Camps, Workshops & Coaching

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up

Component Training Camps are designed and operated to teach VST (Variable Surface Tracking).

This is not a beginning tracking program. You and your dog will require a background in tracking to participate. We require a minimum of a TD title on the dog you are planning to bring to Camp to participate, however, in certain circumstances, management may waive this requirement. Each team is handled on a case by case basis. This program is designed to introduce trained tracking dogs to work on variable surfaces. Some of the Camps are "advanced" Camps and are only open to returning Campers or those who are already entering VST tests.

You'll spend five days with some of the top instructors in the country showing you how to utilize component training in your training program.

We teach at major universities and colleges across the country. We are confident that there is a Camp near you!

We start with the basics ... what is VST and how can you succeed and progress through start routines, article indication, restarts, line handling, the regulations, using food, toys and motivational aides to help your dog, watering and re-scenting along the track and a multitude of other training items so you can leave with a toolbox full of ideas to help you work your way through a track.

We will work hand-in-hand with you to create component tracks to help you and your dog achieve a working partnership and prepare you to compete in the future in Variable Surface Tracking tests.

If this sounds like what you are looking for then check out our Camps or contact us today and be sure to get your application in f a s t, because most Camps fill quickly.
